Munching in München

Blake really wanted to meet up with Ana, a German student who lived with Blake in the US for a short time in high school. She is a law student in Munich so she asked if we wanted to meet her for dinner in the city. This worked out well with our travel plans because I had wanted to return to Munich to go to a museum that we didn’t have time to do on our very first day there so we decided to head to Munich early Thursday morning. The museum I had wanted to see was the Museum Deutches, the largest science and technology museum in the world. We spent the better part of the day getting lost in the physics, construction, medical and micro-technology exhibits. Blake and I really enjoyed all of the hands-on exhibits in the physics section and by the end of it we were pretty burnt out. Blake and I decided we would head to a famous 3-story beer lounge called the Hofbrauhouse where we drank 3 beers and had a pretzel. The ceiling in the Hofbrauhouse is beautifully painted and Hitler even held a party there once. Upon leaving Blake and I walked to the Marienplatz where we met up with Ana. Ana brought us to her university. It was located in a beautiful old building with beautiful architecture and lots of history. She showed us two impressive lecture halls: one for its size and one for its beauty in addition to one of the libraries. Soon we were all ready to eat so we went to a nice restaurant where I ate some more traditional German food: bratwurst and sauerkraut! We left Munich for Landshut around 9 pm because Karina and her friends had invited Blake and I out to a bar for Bingo night. When we arrived, Karina picked us up and we went straight to the bar. We played round after round of Bingo with nobody from our group winning but finally on the second to last round, I won two free drinks!
